Pedestrian was Killed Crossing the Highway

Late on Thursday night, December 10 a pedestrian was killed crossing the highway.

According to authorities, the accident happened shortly before11 p.m. on U.S. 280 eastbound at Resource Center Parkway. Christian Hosford, aged 44 was trying to cross the roadway when he was hit by a vehicle and killed outright. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. It is not known where Hosford lived, but his family lives out of state.

The investigation is ongoing and so far no charges have been brought.

This is not the first time that a pedestrian has been killed on the same road, as in August this year, early in the morning, 49 year old Margaret Allison Beard Elliot was also hit and killed in the eastbound lanes near Key Drive near the Chick-fil-A. On that occasion the driver of the vehicle left the scene and was later charged.
